Um, at least it's not the ubiquitous Nestle recipe?
1/2 c shortening
1/4 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 egg, well beaten
1 c plus 2 tbs flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 c nuts, optional
1 package chocolate chips
Grease cookie sheet. Cream shortening, add sugar and eggs. Beat well. Add dry ingredients. Then chips and nuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
