Caramel Sauce

Came with note: "Very good with ginger bread or chocolate cake (soft sauce)"

1/2 c milk
1/2 c water
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
1.5 tsp flour
Cook until thick, about five minutes
Add 1/8 tsp vanilla and 2 tbs butter.

Best served warm.
